The ‘KJM/Manchetts’ Fen Tigers head into the weekend looking to claim their second trophy of the season when they face the Eastbourne Eagles in the KO Cup final.

Mildenhall host the first leg on Friday (8 pm start) when the return the following evening at Eastbourne. The Fen Tigers will be looking to extend their unbeaten run to twenty two meetings whilst building up a big lead to take into the second and are lifted by an highly impressive return to their ranks by ex-Eagle Josh Bailey last weekend. Once again the Fen Tigers will be utilising rider replacement for Danny Ayres with all the team able to take a ride.

Eastbourne are the current KO Cup holders defeating the Fen Tigers in last season’s final, and if successful against Coventry in their National League Play Off semi final will also face the Fen Tigers in this years league Play Off final.

Kevin Jolly said “We have four more meetings to go and they are all cup finals! It is an incredible end to our season and fully deserved for all the effort the lads have put in this season. They have the opportunity to go down in the clubs history as one of the finest teams, if not the finest and I know they are raring to go on Friday.

We need to stay in control and build a sizable lead to really transfer the pressure onto Eastbourne on Saturday evening. The return of Josh has been a major boost as was his performance on Sunday and with Danny playing a major part off track we remain the strong unit that has been together all year. Our supporters can play a major part on Friday and Saturday and be an extra man with their vociferous backing of the team”
