This Sunday (27th May at 3pm) the ‘KJM/Manchetts’ Fen Tigers will be looking to take a step nearer to the National Trophy final when they host the Plymouth ‘Devils’. Defending the trophy they won against Plymouth last season, the Fen Tigers have already defeated the ‘Devils’ at the St Boniface Arena in early May recording a stunning 61-29 victory.

There will be no slackening off though as the Fen Tigers welcome back Josh Bailey and Drew Kemp to their line up plus bring in Danny Halsey as a replacement for their injured Captain, 16 year old Jordan Jenkins. Crowd favourite Halsey has been without a team this season after departing from the Fen Tigers set up at the end of last season. He has ridden once at Mildenhall already this season in Jon Armstrong’s Testimonial meeting and will slot into the vacant number three position in the side.

Plymouth will be without heat leader James Cockle who is currently serving a 28 day ban, but are led by the experienced Adam Roynon and the exciting youngster Henry Atkins.

Kevin Jolly is confident his team can continue in the current rich vein of form, he said “We go into this meeting with some confidence but certainly will not be taking Plymouth lightly. The lads are all pulling their weight and we are a match for anyone in our league, that said, we must not get over confident and keep doing the same things that have seen us at the head of our group.

There is a brilliant team spirit amongst them right now and this is vitally important as the season unfolds, they are all looking for big points and all have now settled into riding our track. Sunday should be a cracking good afternoon and with the weather set fair we are hopeful of a big crowd”
