Although there is no National League action for the ‘KJM’ Fen Tigers this weekend, it is nevertheless an important weekend for the club.

Three members of the ‘Stonefield Farm Shop’ Fen Tiger Cubs will be representing the club in Round Three of the British Youth Championship at King’s Lynn (midday start,) namely Taylor Hampshire, Jordan Jenkins and Alex Spooner. The highly impressive 14 year old Jenkins lies in third position after two rounds on 25 points, with currently injured Fen Tiger Sam Bebee just behind Jenkins in fourth position. Hampshire currently lies in tenth position after an impressive performance at Scunthorpe (he missed the opening round) whilst Spooner lies in twelfth position. With a total of eight rounds to be raced there are still plenty of points to play for and with all three Cubs having shown a previous liking to the Norfolk Arena circuit a positive outcome from Saturday’s round will be on all three riders agendas. Mildenhall promoter Kevin Jolly is keen to support the rising stars of Mildenhall speedway and will be in attendance on Saturday, he said: “These three lads have all impressed me this season and I am looking forward to seeing them in action on Saturday. I will be in attendance with James Easter (Club Advisor) and Phil Kirk (Fen Tiger Cubs Team Manager) and we will all be offering all the support and guidance we can to help the lads have a good day. These lads are the future of Mildenhall speedway and are as important to us as the current Fen Tigers team. They have already built up a good spirit between them and I was pleased to hear that Sam (Bebee) will also be attending and that he is making good progress recovering from his injury. It will be a great afternoon of speedway for sure, with over 60 heats, and hopefully some of our supporters will be able to attend and cheer on our boys”

The ‘KJM Fen Tigers next meeting is on the Isle of Wight next Tuesday (14th June) when they take on the Warriors in a National League fixture.
